It was a leisure weekend for the members of KTM Malaysia Owners Group (KMOG) as they collaborated with KTM Malaysia for the first event of the year in 2017.
The Orange Day Out was held for a couple of reasons to celebrate, to gather KMOG members for the first time for the year and to celebrate KTM Malaysia Racing Team rider, Gabit Salleh’s win in 2016 FIM Asia Supermoto Championship’s crowing as the overall champion, winning both Asia and Open International category.
Members from the local media were invited to join this unique event alongside special invites to Canon Malaysia who took this opportunity to capture footage that some of their staff were not exposed to before.
Activities for the two days event includes a riding clinic session by Gabit, jungle trail ride and a sports day segment specially for KMOG members.
All participants were given a chance to try out the 2017 off-road bikes with special coaching session by Gabit, giving out pointers on proper riding position, braking techniques and cornering and bike positioning. All paid full attention when the 2016 FIM Asia Supermoto Champion was sharing his valuable experiences.
Day two of the event was dedicated to KMOG members as a few tele-match involving KTM bikes were specially arranged to get the members sweat it out and to strengthen the bond between members and manufacturer.
More similar events will be held later in the year to accommodate those that did not make it to this round. This time, the venue will shift to central region of Malaysia.
